Synopsis

“A tapestry of the gay teenage experience—frayed edges repaired with earnest love and care.” —Kirkus Reviews

Wyatt is fifteen, and nobody in his homophobic small town of Lincolnville, Oregon, knows that he’s gay. Not even his best friend (and accidental girlfriend) Mackenzie.

Then he discovers a secret from actual history: Abraham Lincoln was in love with another guy! Since everyone loves Lincoln, Wyatt’s sure that if the world knew about it, they would treat gay people differently and it would solve everything about his life. So Wyatt outs Lincoln online, triggering a media firestorm that threatens to destroy everything he cares about.

Now he has to pretend more than ever that he’s straight (because no one will ever believe a gay kid saying Lincoln is gay.) Only then he meets Martin, who is openly gay and who just might be the guy Wyatt’s been hoping to find.

This nineteenth-and-twenty-first-century coming-of-age, coming out story was inspired by real historical evidence that Abraham Lincoln was in love—romantic love—with another man. QUEER AS A FIVE-DOLLAR BILLasks LGBTQ teens (and everyone else), What if you knew a secret from history that could change the world?

Review

I really enjoyed this book even though I'm not a huge fan of YA.
I love that its real history and book is just an interpretation of it. Wyatt was really brave it putting out the blog. I loved all the characters. His coming out is one I dream about.
With the Star Wars references and Lincoln's real letters, I really loved reading this book. It tells an important message, that we are all equal. And that maybe if one the major characters of history was queer, then the world might be more accepting.

Book review (ARC) :- Rewind by Rowan Shaw

Rewind by Rowan Shaw

Release date: March 18, 2019
Page Count: 350 pages Rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟

Synopsis

The day Enzo Chevalier lost his hearing, everything changed. Forced to rebuild his future and fight for his dreams, Enzo refused to let anything take him down...until the man of his life walked out on him and shattered his heart.

Florian Beaudry had his whole life figured out. His business was flourishing and everything was settling down at last. Or so he believed...until he walked in on his girlfriend and best friend.

Still on the rebound and unable to trust another man, Enzo never expected a chance encounter with Florian. The one person he thought he would never see again. The one person he missed the most.

Were they truly meant to get a second chance or were they doomed from the start?

REWIND is an MM romance novel set entirely in France. Though part of a series, it is a standalone story without a cliffhanger.

Review

I loved Enzo and Florian. They are both amazing characters and this is a second chance novel. It's written in dual POVs and also has flashbacks to their high school romance. Both of them grow through the book and I love that being deaf doesn't stop him in any way.
This book also deals with bi- erasure, a topic I haven't really come across before. It shows how a lot of people are ignorant about bisexuality or pansexuality and think it's either strictly gay or straight.
I hated Enzo's ex and I'm so glad he left him. I'm looking forward to Raphael and Adrien's story, RETURN, which is the next in series. Also I loved Patrick, Enzo's best friend and I would love read his story too.

COVER REVEAL, EXCERPT AND ARC GIVEAWAY:- Blindsided by Eden Finley

Blindsided by Eden Finley

Release Date: March 20, 2019
Cover Design: Kellie Dennis / Book Cover by Design

Synopsis

𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐫:
When Talon left to play pro ball six years ago, the hole in my chest confused me. I focused my heartache into making my own NFL dreams come true, and by the time I was drafted, the longing I had for my best friend was buried deep. Now he wants everything to be like it was in college, but we can’t have threesomes and be reckless like we once were. The media storm would be enough to break both our careers. That’s not my biggest concern though. The torch I had for him burns brighter after so long apart, and there’s nothing I can do about it. Marcus Talon is straight. I need to stay away from him. 𝐓𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐧: Years ago, Miller and I made a pact that we’d win a Super Bowl together. When I’m offered a position on his team in Chicago, I don’t hesitate. I move across the country to chase a dream that’s a decade old. Only, now that I’m here, he’s avoiding me every chance he gets. If he was anyone else, I’d cut my losses. But this is Shane Miller—the guy who makes everything better just by existing in my universe. The guy I’d do anything for. The guy who’s more to me than a brother, a friend, or even a teammate. I’m not going to let him get away.

Excerpt

“God, I wish I was there,” Miller says. His solemn face fills my phone screen, and I wish he was here too.
“Here?” I croak. “Why?”
Scenarios run through my head of what Miller could do if he were here right now, and not one of them is PG-rated.
“Why do you think? I’m going batshit and my leg is messed up. I wanna be back on the field.”
Ah, he’s still talking about football. Duh.
“I’ll get you there,” I promise.
“You’re really going to spend your off season training me? Shouldn’t you be taking a jersey chaser or two to a sex island?”
I perk up. “There are sex islands? Think we could recondition there?”
“On second thought, I don’t think you should be let loose on a sex island. You’d probably forget to do important things like eat and drink water, and then you’d die of dehydration.”
“Like those animals who literally fuck themselves to death?”
“What?” I ask.
“There are these rat-looking things from Australia. The males literally stop eating so they can have sex until they die. Something about their need to keep their gene pool going.”
“I shouldn’t be shocked about your weird knowledge of animal sex, but I am.”
“Just trying to find my spirit animal.” I sigh. “Although lately I’m more like a panda. If I go much longer without sex, I’ll forget how to do it.”
Why my brain thinks that’s a good idea to tell Miller, I have no idea. Maybe I’m fishing for him to agree with me or maybe I want him to know that I’m not fucking around with anyone else. Not that I’m fucking around with him either.
“Aww, how long has it been? A few days? A week?” He smiles but there’s something in it that makes me think he’s gritting his teeth while he does.
“Try months. That night … with you and those two girls. That’s the last time I …” I wave my hand in a you know what I’m trying to say gesture.
“Holy shit, how are you surviving? And what about your pregame ritual?”
“The new calluses on my hands aren’t from throwing footballs.”
Miller cracks up laughing, and something inside me breaks. What it is, I don’t know, but it’s like charging the field at the beginning of a game. It’s a touchdown in the last minute. It’s putting that championship ring on for the first time. It’s … everything.
“Shane,” I say, my voice coarse.
His eyes flick to mine through the small screen, and his laughter dies.
My confession is a whisper. “I chickened out.”
Miller’s brow furrows. “Chickened out of what?”
“This. FaceTiming you.”
Miller looks like he’s trying to decide to mock me or let me off the hook. I beat him to talking so he can do neither.
“I’ve wanted to. You have no idea how much.”
His expression softens. “I think I have a fair idea. I wasn’t calling you on your bluff or taunting you.” He lowers his voice and whispers, “I wanted it. I want this.”
Miller’s gaze burns so hot I expect my phone to overheat. How I’ve never seen him this way before now is confusing, but not really when I dissect it.
I uprooted my whole life for him. Moved to Chicago to be near him. All because I missed what I had with him, which up until recently, I thought was just a solid friendship.
Friends don’t give up what I did just so they can see their college buddy again. That’s illogical. That doesn’t stop me from trying to make sense of it. And to make sense of it, I need to do something I’ve been putting off. For fear of rejection, fear of discovering some unknown truth that’s always been a part of me, I don’t know. But I do know Miller doesn’t scare me. Doing this with Miller doesn’t scare me.
“Take your shirt off,” I rasp.
“Talon—”
“Take. Your. Shirt. Off.”

Michael gives Jag a reason to stay, but fear rules Jag’s heart more than love. Despite his deepening feelings for Michael, Jag knows he can’t stay. Can he?

**Contains adult themes, content, and language.**

Review

This book is just beautiful!!
Jag has gone through so much and it hurts me to read about the shit he had to go through because of who he is. It might have hit me a bit harder because I haven't come out to my parents yet(even though I've dreamt all the different scenarios) and what he went through could be one of those scenarios.
Michael is an amazing character. He is really understanding and never pushed Jag. He is everything Jag needed and more. They might not be perfect on their own but they are perfect together. They are flawed and real.
This book made me tear up. I could feel Jag's pain and helplessness. This is my first book by this author and i can't believe I've never read any of her books before. This book is simply amazing!! And I love Jag and Michael so much!

Review

I've loved every single book in this series. I have been waiting for King's book from the beginning and this book is all I hoped for and more.
Leo is my absolute favourite character(sorry Lucky). He is just perfect for King. Leo is like a whirlwind and King never knew what just hit him. Leo is genius and there is a lot of moments I'm stunned by his brain. He is nerdy and awkward and quirky and absolutely adorable.
I loved the whole family. We meet all the Kings and their significant others. I can't wait to read Jack and Fitz's book(Stacking the deck)
Also I'm a huge fan of Spideypool!!I love them so much!Go Avengers!

Synopsis

FIVE JOBS. FIVE CHANCES FOR REDEMPTION. One thing’s for sure: these men are no angels.
There’s nothing like being blackmailed by a dead man to really bring a group of cons together. The deal is simple, we do the jobs and Charlie’s lawyer wipes the slate clean for each of us, one at a time.
Job number two lands right in my lap. I’m Bond. Wesley Bond. (I can’t resist saying it that way. Blame my dad, if you can find him.) You could call me a hacker. I redistribute wealth - moving it from rich slimebags to poorer but infinitely more deserving people - and make a tidy profit as I do.  My mission, should I choose to accept it, is to bring down some modern-day slave traders.
I definitely choose to accept it.
With the life of the one person in this world I love on the line, I can’t afford any screw ups or distractions. Unfortunately, my biggest distraction is my biggest asset - Danny Monroe. Danny is an leftover complication from our first job; a victim of the vicious senator we’d gotten locked up. He’s a smart, funny, gorgeous, ex-prostitute, who can’t seem to keep his clothes on. I can’t seem to keep my mouth shut around him. But I need a fake boyfriend, and Danny is the only option.
Fooling the world into thinking we’re in love will be easy; fooling myself that I’m not might be impossible.
We don’t know who the bad guy is, we have no idea how to prove anything. There’s no internet on the island, no cell service, and i’ll have only the bare bones of my gear. If I’m going to do this, I’m going to need all the help I can get.
Like it or not, we’re all in this together.

Review

Second book in the series and I loved it even more. Wes and Danny are so perfect together. And Wes is so WHIPPED. So very whipped.
I love their little band of merry men. They are all so different yet they all fit together so well. A family. I love Josie. She's simply badass!
This book has everything
✔Fake relationship
✔Age gap
✔Mystery
✔Josie
✔Wes being whipped
I loved this book so much( if it wasn't already obvious) and I can't wait for the rest of the books. I couldn't put this book down and I finished this one in a day. I can't even imagine what I'd do when the series ends. I'm looking forward to the next book.

Synopsis

Dying isn’t what it used to be.

Wes Cooper was dead. Then he wasn’t—though he’s not exactly alive, either. As an immortal not-ghost, he can transition between this world and the otherplane, which makes him the perfect thief for hire. For seventy years he’s made a “living” returning items to their rightful owners, seeing his fair share of the bizarre in the process. But he’s never witnessed murder. Until now.

His latest mission brings him more than he bargained for: a very-dead actor who is definitely going to stay that way. It’s just Wes’s luck that his ex-boyfriend, Detective Hudson Rojas, is assigned to the case. Hudson broke Wes’s heart years ago—and could again, given he’s rocking a hot silver-fox look that shouldn’t be legal.

As they work together to track down the murderer before anyone else gets hurt, it becomes clear Wes and Hudson have unfinished business. And when a secret Hudson’s been keeping threatens more than just their happiness, it might mean the end of their not-life together—permanently.

Review

This book is a rollercoaster of emotions. I love this series and this book is the best one yet. We are back to the past and present format(before and after). And it kept on the edge of my seat.
We get to know more about Ethan's background and it broke my heart when I read about his past. Jack and Ethan has a grown a lot in their relationship. But it frustrated me a lot because they still haven't talked about a lot of things. And I loved Rocco and Shorty the dog. Ethan is my cinnamon roll and I just want to hug him so bad. And Jack, there was a time when I wanted to kill him myself but then it all got sorted out. I love the how the author leaves those little cliffhangers at the end of each chapter. Also it happened. The thing that we have been waiting for. I can't wait for the next book!!! All I have to say is READ IT!

Noah
Pretend to be Matt Jackson’s boyfriend, my best friend said. It’ll be fun, he said. What Damon neglected to mention is Matt is surly and bitter. Being his boyfriend is a job in itself. From his paranoia over being constantly photographed to his aversion to PDA, being with Matt isn’t the care-free fake relationship I expected when I signed on to do this.

It’s supposed to be a win-win. I get to stick it to my politician dad who thinks no one is good enough for the Huntington name, and Matt’s reputation of being the bad boy of football dies.

Series: Rhythm of love #1
Release date: December 11, 2018
Page count: 340 pages
Rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Synopsis

“Our greatest hit is a love song I wrote for my bandmate. And he has no idea.”

Messy-haired, soulful-eyed, off-kilter lyricist Les Graves holds tight to the hedonist’s credo of consumption in every avenue of life. He has trouble staying still, trouble staying sober, trouble turning down a good time—but put a pen in his hand, and he’ll set a page on fire.

Music was Evan Porter’s ticket out of the backwater mud puddle he was born in, the passion keeping him warm as he busked on street corners, fueling him through a dead-end bartending job. Every chord, every song, every ounce of sweat has been devoted to making Porter & Graves a success. He’s the level-head, the quiet maestro, the seatbelt that keeps Les from flying too far out of control. And he’s getting pretty tired of playing savior.

Their chemistry onstage is electric, but offstage it’s another story.

Angst, snark, and nuclear levels of unresolved sexual tension combust in this tale of two rockers, a handful of secrets, a bombed album, and a publicity nightmare thrown in a remote cabin with one shot at redemption. Can Evan and Les find harmony or will they—and their music career—go down in flames?

Dedicated is a 92k standalone bisexual friends-to-lovers romance that also plays on the fake relationship trope, contains a cockblocking greenhouse, really poor decisions involving social media, and a borderline over-the-top HEA.

*Please note: This book contains reference to and depiction of a MMF scene*

Navy SEAL Renzo Bianchi has a soft spot for Canaan Finley, and not only because the man makes a mean smoothie. He’s the first guy to get Renzo’s motor revving in a long time. Creating a hot Italian SEAL boyfriend to save face seemed like a good idea…until his friends called Canaan’s bluff. Now he’s setting off into the woods with the very man who inspired his deception, and Canaan is not the outdoorsy type. The sparks are already flying when a flash flood separates them from their group, leaving Renzo and Canaan very much trapped…very much alone in the wilderness.

Working together to come up with a plan for survival is sexier than either of them expects. But back in the real world, being a couple is bringing its own set of hazards…

Review

While this book was released in Jan, I read an ARC in December. So this is going on the list.

Another one in out of uniform series that I absolutely loved. I loved seeing Renzo and Canaan grow together as couple and individually. I loved Canaan and his grandfather is simply amazing. Renzo is under a lot of pressure especially by his parents expectations. Honestly I didn't like his mother that much.
Overall I really enjoyed this book and I'm a bit sad that this is the last in the series. Annabeth albert has always written stories that I don't want to put down and this one is not anydifferent.

After Ty witnesses something he wasn’t meant to see, he starts to look at Spencer in a different way. When another outrageous bet is made between them, Ty begins to wonder if this will be his opportunity to get something he never knew he wanted.

Will upping the ante on their friendship be the payout they never dreamed possible? Or will laying all their cards on the table cost them everything?

Review

This book is hot, sweet, kinky and funny! This is my first Jaclyn Quinn read and I must say that I really enjoyed it. This is a friends to lovers story and it's one of my favourite tropes. It's got a little bit of D/s element and though I like bondage I am not into the Master/Sir thing. The ending was a bit of a surprise since throughout the whole book we only get Ty's POV and so Spencer sort of surprised me.
